JOB DESCRIPTION

The McNeal Elementary School District will employ a person for a substitute position in Food Service, salary dependent upon experience. Job opened until filled. This is a temporary position.

 

This person must have: 

 

  • Understanding of cafeteria procedures
  • Understanding of or aptitude of learning cooking and baking skills that meet National School Lunch Program requirements
  • Must be aware of and follow safety procedures
  • Assume complete responsibility for the  operations of an efficient food service program 
  • Ability to keep the building in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation 
  • Ability to use cleaning material with skill and efficiency
  • Ability to perform job functions with minimum supervision
  • Must be able to set a good example and work with students, parents, community, and staff 
  • Must have an outstanding work ethic
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

The McNeal Elementary School District will employ a person Full time for the position of  White Fleet Driver/Maintenance. Job opened until filled. 

This is a twelve month position. Salary dependent on experience. Part Time 5 hours a day

 

This person must have:

  • Experience in operation and maintenance of vehicles and equipment
  • Be able to obtain a valid AZ Drivers License
  • Be able to obtain valid certification for CPR, First Aid, and other safety programs
  • Be able to acquire fingerprint card and pass a valid drug test.
  • Ability to perform job functions with minimum supervision
  • Must be able to maintain appropriate records for transportation 
  • Must be able to set a good example and work with students, parents, community, and staff
  • Must have an outstanding work ethic
  • Ability to maintain facilities in safe operating condition; performing a wide variety of skilled maintenance activities (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, electrical, ventilating systems, alarms, grounds, etc.); addressing immediate operational and/or safety concerns; assisting staff as assigned; ensuring adequate materials are available to complete assignments in a timely manner
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may fine appropriate and acceptable

Job Opening: Full - Time Paraprofessional: 8 hours/day for SY: 2022-23 

Salary: Dependent on experience/education 

Job Duties: 

  •  Works with small groups or one-on-one with students to provide interventions 
  • Assists teachers in providing an effective learning environment 
  •  Provides positive reinforcement for students 
  •  Maintains vigilance to signs of child abuse or neglect 
  • Supports the teacher in maintaining classroom control
  • Assists in special class presentations, field trips and activities as requested
  • Assists with evaluating and testing students individually when requested
  • Handles routine clerical work as assigned
  • Supervises students inside/outside of the classroom where requested
  • Assists the teacher during instruction and evaluation of student work 
  • Assists teacher with administrative and/or non-instructional activities 
  •  Models good manners and sets a good example for assigned students 
  • Performs housekeeping/related classroom duties as assigned by teacher(s) or as needed in the classroom
  • Calls to teacher's or administrator's attention any problems 

Job Expectations: 

  • Ability to perform activities involving moderate physical strength 
  • Ability to work, communicate effectively with students: verbally and in writing 
  • Ability to effectively use classroom equipment and teaching aids 
  • Ability to read and interpret school, student data

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: Education & Experience: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 
  • Must have ability to follow both oral and written directions/instructions
  • Must have ability to communicate effectively through both oral and written means 
  • Must be able to pass background check and get a valid IVP fingerprint card.
  • Associate's degree, sixty college credit hours, completion of Paraprofessional Test 
  • Computer Proficient 
  • Prior work experience preferred

Job Opening: Part-time custodian: 5 hours/day for SY: 2022-23

JOB DUTIES:

  • Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors; vacuums, shampoos, and spot cleans carpets; dusts and cleans blinds, curtains, and screens
  • Dusts and polishes furniture and woodwork.
  • Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, plumbing fixtures, and fountains; disinfects biohazard storage areas
  • Picks up litter, empties and cleans trash containers; empties refuse into main bin
  • Cleans, washes, maintains: windows, walls, walkways, patios and other outside areas
  • Rearranges and moves furniture and equipment
  • Maintains stock of supplies such as soap, towels, and tissues
  • Maintains cleaning tools, equipment, and materials in proper condition
  • Assists with set-up and cleaning for special events
  • Unlocks doors, ensuring doors are locked after cleaning areas.
  • Adheres to instructions for mixing and diluting cleaners, disinfectants, etc.
  • Reports equipment malfunctions, needed repairs and safety/hygiene infractions to supervisor.
  • Follows safe work procedures; ensures proper safety precautions, regulations, and industrial hygiene practices are observed.
  • Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
